FAQs
How do I calculate the correct expansion vessel size?
The correct expansion vessel size depends on factors such as system volume, operating pressure and temperature range. Choosing a vessel that is too small can lead to pressure fluctuations and unwanted discharge through safety valves.
For a detailed explanation of how to calculate the correct vessel size, see our guide: Expansion Vessel Sizing: A Comprehensive Guide.
How do I set the pressure on an expansion vessel?
The expansion vessel pre-charge pressure should be matched to the requirements of the heating system and checked during installation and maintenance. Incorrect pressure settings can affect system performance and lead to unnecessary wear on components.
For more information on checking and adjusting vessel pressure, see our guide: Expansion Vessel Pressure Setup.
