Uponor Thermo Twin 50mm + 50mm 175mm Pre-Insulated Underground Heat Main
The Uponor Thermo Twin 50mm + 50mm 175mm is a pre-insulated underground heat main designed for the distribution of heating water in district heating networks, plant room connections and building-to-building heating systems. The Thermo Twin configuration combines flow and return heating lines within one insulated jacket, helping reduce trench width and simplify installation compared with installing separate heating connections.
Part of the Uponor Ecoflex underground insulated heating system, Thermo Twin is commonly used for district heating pipe installations and underground heat mains serving residential, commercial and agricultural heating systems.
Each system uses PE-Xa service pipes with EVOH oxygen barrier (SDR 11) surrounded by PE-X foam insulation and protected by a durable HDPE outer jacket, making it suitable for buried heating distribution systems and underground heat main networks.
The twin configuration includes a separation profile between the pipes, helping installers clearly identify the flow and return connections during installation.
The system is rated for up to 6 bar pressure and 95°C operating temperature and is designed for use with Uponor Wipex 6 bar couplings.
Typical applications include district heating systems, underground heat mains and heating connections between buildings.
